Company name background. There wasn’t a great logic to how we came to using this name other than wanting our own .com url and wanted to be as neutral as possible rather than linked to any format and, of course, to have some stand-out.
The South Odessa end choice was because Odessa is equally an exotic city which most people can’t place on the map and could be one of those small mid-west towns in the U.S. with names like East Moscow or Northern Jericho.
We might junk it if it’s holding us back, but so far it seems to be working fine and raises a few eye-brows and giggles, which is good enough for us…
