GL_Daycare got their new logo design by running a design contest:
FUTURE AWARD WINNING DAYCARE - STARTUP BUSINESS
Check out GL_Daycare's Logo design contest…
Guiding light aims to provide a superior caliber of education to children ranging 0months to 6+ years. In an industry that lacks curriculum based learning Guiding Light will revolutionize how children learn and develop (through various extra curricular activities such as music, art, dance, karate). The concept for the state of the art daycare is in line with the thinking of many private schools, essentially encouraging parents to invest in their children's cognitive progress.
Logo types to explore
We like the look of a logo that seems to be one thing but when you look closer has many intricacies. We would like the final image in the following formats for transfer of copyright JPEG PNG EPS PDF PSD TIFF I.e. something that looks like a sun but when you look closer it is actually a book or something that looks like a tree but when you look closer it is a hand. A lot of daycare logos come of as 'childlike' or 'cute' but this is not what we want. We are looking for something more modern yet with a caring emotion. We would like some of the logos to incorporate the name somehow - something relevant like a beam of light or light rays. It is not mandatory for logo to do this but interesting to see different versions. Also, 'Guiding Light' should be the focus while 'Early Learning Academy' should be smaller - almost like a description **** Hi Designers, we have drawn and uploaded a mock logo that we think would be interesting. You can find the diagram on our uploaded files. It is titled “adultandchild_beam of light.jpg” The main points of the logo are as follows: -The scene is of an adult and a child looking at a shooting star in the sky. The adult has her hand on the little boy while the boy is pointing at the shooting star. -The adult and child that we like is what is used in submission number 145. The thicker image of adult and child will be more visible even more a distance. The image should give the effect of a teacher caring for a child. -For the logo, let the background be in turquoise blue and the image of the beam of light and the adult/child should be in white. So it should be a turquoise blue circle with a shooting start, adult and child in white so that there is a stark contrast. -For the words, Guiding Light Early Learning Academy, please refer to the font of submission number 117. The word Guiding Light should be bigger and bolder and in the colour orange. Below that in smaller letter should be Early Learning Academy in the same turquoise blue as in the background of the image. Also please use the same accents, to the left and right of the words as used in submission number 89. Designers, please use this info and the diagram that we uploaded titled “adultandchild_beam of light” so that we can incorporate all the points we like.
