How tracie v started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are on a mission to inspire and encourage parents to teach their kids real world money skills.
Our target audience is both parents and teens, upper middle class, college educated, primarily moms ages 30-50.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Logo types to explore
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
We tossed around the idea of the slogan "Ditch the Pig" in terms of ditching a piggy bank, but aren't sure how that would translate into a logo. Our idea is that there is more to teaching kids to save money that encouraging them to put coins in a bank. We see so many stock image pigs out there that it is sort of a turn off, so if we go that route, we'd like something fresh or different.
Our current website is http://401kKid.com and we will rebrand as Allowance Academy. We explicitly don't want any ties to the 401kKid theme - that brand wasn't working for us.
We're looking for something that appeals to both kids, teens and parents and perhaps has some type of character associated with it that will work for FB profiles, etc. Ultimately we want to create a tribe around our brand and may want variations of the character for different age groups/programs.
Some logos that are appealing:
99designs.com/logo-design/store/84396 (maybe too cartoony)
58686 (needs more reference to kids and money)
40443 (I like the relationship of logo and name here)
60044 (what if the mortar board was money related?)
