hfrost got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Hyku - the hottest new digital repository product for preserving cultural content
Check out hfrost's Logo design contest…
Hyku is a turn-key repository product used by libraries, archives, and museums to manage and provide long-term access to the digital content they collect in support of research, teaching, exhibition, etc. It is the repository underpinning a commercial, cloud-based service named HykuDirect. This software is part of the open-source community called Hydra (http://projecthydra.org/), primarily consisting of cultural heritage organizations.
Features or qualities for design inspiration, or potential elements of the design include: - the word "Hyku" (arrangement, sequence of letters) is visually interesting, simple. - The structure of a haiku poem -- 3 lines with syllable counts of 5-7-5. It would be really neat to incorporate this into the logo somehow. - A haiku poem is traditionally about one of the four seasons (winter, spring, summer fall) and describes something in nature. - Open, high quality, easy-to-use, modern, comprehensive, flexible Please do not appropriate Japanese aesthetic to avoid the appearance of cultural appropriation.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Logo design starts at $399.
