Texas A&M University is home to one of the nation's leading equine academic and veterinary science programs, besides being one of the nation's overall leading universities with more than 50,000 students. It is launching a new institute to provide an umbrella link between its current college of veterinary medicine with its department of equine sciences under the college of agriculture.
