How Sanchia started their logo design journey
Little Man Enterprises Pty Ltd
I am an educational and developmental Psychologist and am in the process of setting up a private practice in Melbourne, so this company will be the core of this. I have worked in this capacity in schools for the past nine years, and having just started a family, this seemed like the perfect time to branch out. In my work, I am hoping to engage with children, families and schools across the city, assisting with primarily learning and behavioural issues. No counselling though!
In addition, there will be a secondary and smaller facet of the company which involves my husband, as he will also be doing some consulting work through the company. In contrast he works in the areas of corporate health, wellbeing and stress and lifestyle management. He prepares and delivers large presentations or ongoing programs to business, government agencies, schools etc.
I guess the overall focus is on the health and development of children and families. Key words would be; balance, optimisation and wellbeing.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Our target audience will primarily be parents, schools and other health professionals, although there will to a lesser extent be an exposure to business. While our audience is primarily adults, there does need to be a certain child friendliness to the logo as well, given that the majority of the clients are children and their families.
We need a logo that sets the tone for our work. Something quirky and eye catching but not too 'out there'. As with most companies, the logo needs to be able to work on letterhead, business cards etc etc
In terms of colours etc, not too bright or too many colours. I was thinking blues (navy?) or maybe yellows - it needs to have enough vibrancy and energy to encapsulate young people, but also not look out of place in a business environment.
I am not keen on animation or fluourescent colours.
No clip art or widely available graphics please. Originality is essential!
I have minimal idea about what kind of computer programs/files etc, so given you are the experts, you give me what is workable for amateurs like me!
