How Heidi Isern started their logo design journey
I am a free lance strategy consultant that provides business strategy, branding initiatives, and market research work (market research is via surveys and focus groups). I help businesses transform by using consumer insights and competitive analysis. The personality I want to evoke is sophisticated, professional, yet also intriguing and engaging.
I offer my clients insights that other firms do not by gaining unparalleled understanding of the consumer, business climate, and competitive landscape. I talk to consumers, company executives, and industry experts to build beautiful insights and innovative business strategies.
I also am a free lance writer in my spare time. Thus I want to feel comfortable giving out my strategy business cards (with logo) to people in the publishing world as well. For more inforamtion on my writing style please see my current blog: White Chameleon--changing colors.
The logo must also fit my personal image and style as I am the face to my company. I am a tall blond 32 year old woman who dresses in designer apparel.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
I work with emerging and existing medium size companies in apparel (yes fashion!), consumer goods, media and entertainment. I would be working with executives. This logo will be on my website, business cards, power point presentations, invoices, etc
Due to the wide span of my client base I wish to be intriguing, lively, yet also highly sophisticated. As mentioned before I also write on the side, so this logo should also somewhat fit with any publishing agents.
Currently I am the only employee of my firm, but I do plan on partnering with other free lance professionals in order to provide my client the best brainpower and skill set possible to help them transform their business.
The image should evoke a sense of highly creative change--for example showing colors changing into one another or evolving.
The logo should:
-be able to stand apart from the name itself (i.e. like a nike swoosh or using the "C" and /or "E" initials from the name)
-work for apparel/fashion (my main client base)
The logo should NOT
-be a chameleon itself
-be industrial or engineer-like
-be overly techie
I am open to multiple colors though I am partial to turquoise and would like it to be part of the spectrum that you choose if it fits.....
I wish to show transformation so circular rather than harsh boxy lines may work better?
