How Musicexplorer started their logo design journey
We are planning to rename our Android music player application (current name: museek, new name: jukefox). For that reason, we need a new logo that matches the spirit of the new name (jukefox) and our application: Jukefox is a smart music player that is aware of music similarity. Using this knowledge, it simiplifies the generation of playlists, the browsing of personal music collections, and it is able to grasp the mood of its user. For more information, visit one of the reviews (e.g. http://www.absolutelyandroid.com/mu…ic-player/ ) or simply download the app from the Android Market.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
- music lovers
- from teenage to middle age people (12-45yo)
While the current application design is mainly based on a black-green color scheme, this scheme does NOT necessarily have to be respected by the new logo (i.e. any colors are fine). We plan to use the logo in different environments, such as on our website (to be redesigned), in the Android Market, inside the application, on the Android Device. Thus, the logo needs to be suitable for large display (such as on websites, print, etc.), and (possibly a variant of) it should be distinct, even when tiny (such as when used as the app icon in the Android device). Some further requirements:
- Product name (jukefox) does not necessarily need to be included in the logo (but it can be included)
- Vector graphics
Spirit of the application:
