About the inspiration: The idea came from this old TV Red Bull advertisement "Red Bull gives you wings": http://youtu.be/K31dg86OmuM. Feel free to use it as your initial inspiration. The concept could be exactly what the name implies: brains with attached wings, flying. ;-). That's a starting point.
About the impression: Even though this business (human resources, recruiting, staffing or headhunting agencies) has the image of being rather formal, I do not want to keep this image. I want to project welcoming, informal and playful idea for "brains on wings". I want to stand apart from those "old look" suit-and-tie competitors. Our name itself (brains on wings) is intentionally playful!
About the audience: Many mobile and web software companies (clients and candidates alike) in this business consist of young professionals. And even if they are not exactly in their 20's, they act out and project the aura of young, playful minds.
Note: I imagine that the name should be all in lower case. Just like this: brains on wings. The current logo on http://www.brainsonwings.com website should be disregarded and will be thrown out. I am not a designer. I created it using some online tools, and I do not like it at all.
For the future, I would hope that we could work together with this contest winner. I do expect more graphic design artwork will be needed, and I would like to maintain the continuity.
