CANINA is a functional activewear brand for dog owners and lovers who believe that athletics and adventure are better alongside human’s best friend.

Assignment: a logo and logotype for CANINA, a functional activewear brand for dog owners and lovers who believe that athletics and adventure are better alongside human’s best friend. Mission: to equip people to be active with their dogs. Vision: stronger relationships between people and dogs through activeness. Values: - Activeness - Confidence - Mutual respect - Safety Design direction: - Recognizable dog-related element(s) that ALL dog lovers can relate to and associate with, e.g. canine teeth, paws, silhouettes - Logo should be simple, clean and feel appropriate on apparel (e.g. athletic t-shirts, functional pants/joggers (see attached mockup) - Recommendation should include simplest expression of the logo: one color (black on white), no gradients, should look good at small sizes, e.g. t-shirt tags, stamp-sized stickers - I don't have a color palette yet, but welcome to suggestions - otherwise please work in black/white/grays Attachment: I've attached my personal attempt at a logo, which I like a lot, but fully expect one of you to beat it! Things I like about it: - Reference to canine teeth, although they could be a bit more abstract - Bigger tooth and smaller tooth representing human and dog as partners - Very simple, would look good stitched, printed or tattooed - Temporary logotype font is just standard Copperplate, but I like the boldness of it, and how the serifs suggest dogs' teeth; I have considered sharpening the bottom of the As or Ms to represent canine teeth as well
