It was a pleasure working with fatboyjim.
His grasp of our business concept was beyond our expectation. He beautifully translated the concept into a simple and yet vibrant design that expresses our vision and values. He is also very quick in responding and accommodating our requests. I would highly recommend him and would love to work with him again.
Pacific Automation is a distributor of industrial products and has been operating for over 40 years. Over this time, the company has evolved to focus on two distinct market segments being the Oil & Gas Industry and the Mining and Industrial Industry.
A separate division of the company was set up in 2006 to focus on the Oil & Gas market under the brand PacificEX. (Note: EX stands for Explosion Proof). This brand is now well established in the market and we are now looking at setting up a similar division under the parent Pacific Automation for the Mining & Industrial market under the name PacificMI.
We are looking for a professional logo that will tie the three names together visually, being Pacific Automation, PacificEX & PacificMI. The critical part of the design is going to be creating an identity for the common word Pacific with a corresponding logo.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
The target market will be the clients and suppliers to our company, who are predominately male. This will include the management, engineers and technical personnel working in the industrial, mining and oil and gas sectors.
We require a logo design that can be used as a stand alone graphic, and can also incorporate the common word ‘Pacific’. It must also be able to be used with the parent name ‘Pacific Automation’ as well as the divisions of ‘PacificEX’ and ‘PacificMI’.
The logo must be professional (i.e. not include any ‘cartoon’ graphics), clean and crisp.
We are open to suggestions on colours but we would prefer the graphic and the word ‘Pacific’ to be common across all logos.
Please make sure all logos can be used on light or dark backgrounds (examples in your submission would be appreciated).
The winning designer would be required to submit the following files in both CMYK for print and RGB for web:
1. .eps file for each logo
2. .ai file including all working layers
3. PDF file of each logo
4. Any custom font names and files that are used.
