We're about to launch our company website http://www.clearseo.co.uk. Our services include SEO, PPC and website conversion.
We've called ourselves "Clear" because we find a lot of small businesses don't understand internet marketing and therefore don't use it. We want to come across as a company that understands our clients needs and can explain and implement our services for them in a "Clear" understandable, plain, uncomplicated, straightforward way.
Our site is going to be very clean, easy to navigate, easy to read, lots of white space, nice clean, large call to action boxes, large tabbed top navigation.
We're looking at small business as our target audience, from restaurants to small retailers to online stores. Their knowledge of the internet and how to navigate websites may be limited so we're going for a very clean, simple look to the site.
The logo's main usage will be on the website. We will also use it for business cards, letterhead, but the web is our main focus. Our company is called Clear, but our url is http://www.clearseo.co.uk. We'd like a logo that could easily incorporate "SEO" or "PPC" or even "Website optimisation" within it - whether than be next to the logo or beneath it.
"Clear" should be the main focus for the design though.
We want the logo to suggest professionalism, trustworthiness, modern, straightforward.
Clear also suggests something fresh, clean, the idea of water comes to mind too so we were thinking of blue as the main colour. We'd also you to come up with a complimentary palette of colours we could use for the call to action buttons, navigation options/ text with the site.
We were thinking of light greys, white's etc, but open to ideas. I guess we'd need 5 colours max to cover all options we may have. The site background will be white, and the main text to be black. We're going to have large call to action boxes with these background colours so colour is important to the overall feel of our site.
