FunOnTheWrist got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Logo design for luxury watch blog
Check out FunOnTheWrist's Logo design contest…
FunOnTheWrist is a instagram account dedicated to displaying wristwatches (@funonthewrist). However, in the near future, I would like to grow my platform to incorporate a blog/YouTube video production. It is a long term goal to have engagement and work with high-end professional watch brands in some capacity. I feel that the new logo should not be out of place for the high end luxury watch industry. Additionally in future I may look to have this new logo embossed or printed onto t-shirts, hats, watch travel cases and/or watch straps. With regards to my target audience I am primarily targeting other watch hobbyists and collectors. From my Instagram analytics I know that my current audience is 91% male and 55% of my audience is between the ages of 18-44. My most popular age group (accounting for 35% of my audience) are between the ages of 25-34. My target audience typically works in a professional capacity and there is crossover with other luxury brands. To summarise my target audience is mostly male, and under 50 years of age who work professionally.
Other color requirements
My current logo has a colour gradient on it. I would prefer to have a colour gradient on the new logo as well. Although this is not a 'must have' if you can think of a better use of colour than using a gradient then I would love to see it.
I should note that the letters FOTW are part of a registered intellectual property here in the UK. Any design that seeks to use initials (FOTW) should also have fun on the wrist written into or under the design to avoid clashing with this established copyright. The majority of the watches I showcase on my watch channel are vintage inspired. Typically drawing from the vibrant designs from the late 1950's throughout the bright colours of the 1960s and some of the 1970s. Perhaps the branding could be retro inspired from this time period? However I would prefer the logo to be as minimalist as possible. I’m also open to ideas on the type of logo that’s best for my brand. Please interact with any queries if you have any. The reason I am on 99 designs is because I need a more professional looking logo and that is currently beyond my basic graphic design abilities.
