Minyanville Media is in the process of rebranding its premium subscription products as "Minyanville Professional" or "MVP" for short. These are newsletter and portfolio based products aimed at professional financial traders, a majority of which are men between the ages of 35-65. You can see the current product lineup here: http://www.minyanville.com/subscription/
The ideal logo will place a stamp on the MVP products as an industry leader for financial news and advice. The executive team at Minyanville has expressed a desire for this logo to resemble an actual (gold) seal or brass plate but we are open to other ideas that accomplish the same goal.
This logo will be the first step in starting to get our web site design on par with other industry leading sites, such as Bloomberg.com, WSJ.com, and Marketwatch.com. The team here is especially fond of the Bloomberg design.
Finally, the logo will be used in a number of contexts. It will be used throughout product order forms, landing pages, content pages, house ad creatives and also as an icon next to links to indicate premium content. Therefore, it should scale effectively or there should be a large and small version.
The logo should certainly carry the text "MVP" but whether or not it also incorporates the "Minyanville "Professional" text (in the large version only) is entirely at your discretion.
