Workshop360 is an online store (in development) aiming to become the most convenient destination (virtual warehouse) for all small-medium earthmoving, trucking and automotive businesses to order their workshop supplies from.
Currently, most products that are required for workshops within these industries are purchased from multiple suppliers, creating a plethora of unneeded invoices, receipts & paperwork. Historically, this is a large annoyance for time poor small to medium sized businesses whose time could be spent much more productively. Workshop360 aims to change this, using a carefully designed online store that helps businesses save time, money & hassle.
The brand prides itself on its ability to create valuable convenience and provide great service & prices. It’s personality could be described as honest, friendly and trustworthy.
The reason behind including ‘360’ in the brand name was to help customers/visitors understand that we are a one stop shop and have 360 degree range of products available to purchase.
An important aspect to note is that this online store will also be treated as a tool for the existing customers of EagleXP + Eagle Exports and there should be stylistic hint/ link to its parent brand (EagleXP). (Parent Brand/Company : http://www.eaglexp.com.au)
Small to medium sized businesses operating within the earthmoving, mining, trucking, automotive and general industrial industries. It is important that the logo not only appeals to this market, but also to larger businesses/operations (despite not being a key target).
People working within these businesses are most commonly males between the ages of 25 & 55
We would like to potentially utilise some of our existing colours (blue & green) within the logo - more so the green.
Green Hex: #8CC648
Blue Hex: #OC4DA2
We would also be open to incorporating a charcoal, grey, black colour into the logo (perhaps as a base colour?). We think that this might give it a more masculine and modern feel to it.
Colours to avoid:
-Orange and Yellow are extremely common within our industry (along with navy blue) and if possible we would like to steer away from using these colours (unless persuaded otherwise).
-Purple, Pink, Teal, Brown
Overall, we would be happy to consider any recommendations given they are reasonable.
Look and Feel
In essence, we would like the logo to look reliable, trusting, modern and somewhat minimal. Ensuring that it has high visibility and is not too complex is also an important factor to note.
We are not against incorporating some ‘round’ elements into the logo to coincide with the ‘360’ part of the name.
The logo shouldn’t be too complex or intricate and have the ability to be used in a range of design scenarios. Additionally, the logo should also look good when presented in a number of different ways/variations, i.e. mono, reversed, stacked, all white/black etc.
Just a thought… [don’t have to implement this]
-Perhaps you could look at incorporating the essence of the ‘Eagle icon’ in the EagleXP logo (attached).
Looks + Feels to Avoid
-Thoughtless 360 degree Arrows
-Spanners, Gears, Cogs, Washers
-Don’t use the same font as “EagleXP”
