How doherty38 started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Your Family Matters
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are a new company who are looking to assist parents in dealing with problematic child and teenage behaviour. We will offer psychological based packages of support to parents aged 30 to late 50's. We will offer solution focused interventions in clients' homes - this home based service is a unique selling point we feel. We are trained in educational, behavioural, and addiction fields. A tag line might be 'helping you help your child' although we don't necessarily want that on the logo.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Business & Consulting
Logo types to explore
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
There are organisations in the uk with 'family matters' as part of a logo. Many are charities and go for a chunky font (fami and look like they are not for profit. Also because the content is about children/teenagers they sort of look 'childlike'. Examples include: familymatters.org.uk, .fmy.org.uk. While there are elements I like in these logo I am looking for something a bit sleeker - more consultant/corporate. http://www.sussexfamilysolutions.com using a thinner font and some abstract forms - it feels more business like. Bottom line is that we are tring to sell so we need people to feel confident in us and feel that we are professional and serious in what we do. But...having said that there needs to be some warmth ( I dont mean child cradling in arms) but some warmth and empathy that concerned parents can hook into. That's your job to visually represent what I mean by that. I plan to use logo on a wordpress theme ( I am doing this myself and on a a steep learning curve) so need transparent logo design. I will leave colour options open. I aim to aim for a minimal theme. I will also use the loho to create my own business cards. I look forward to seeing what you can come up with
