What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Entertainment & The Arts
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
UPDATED NOTES to All Designers: Please no more "Stars" "Film Cameras" "Film Projectors" "Director's Chairs" as these are the public's perception of stereotypes and does not relate to our primary target audience which as is the "BEHIND the SCENES PROFESSIONALS". The Stage N Film Supply Co is an e-com site selling only leading edge/highest quality stage equipment, supplies and tools needed for the production of theatre, rock & roll tours and film. Our BUYERS are to the BEHIND THE SCENES production managers, technical directors, touring roadies, on location film electricians & grips; theatre electricians, carpenters and riggers; and local stagehands. We will be the the sharper image for backstage workers in the entertainment industry (at a higher quality level that sharper image is now). We need our logo and our branding to indicate quality design, quality manufacturing, ruggedness, toughness, strength, cutting edge, safety and longevity. So you know we will not be selling cheap, or low quality Chinese import products. As example ere are some products we intend to sell.... PETZEL HELMETS AND SAFETY HARNESSES - (highest quality, extremely well made) ... http://www.petzl.com/us/pro/helmets-0 http://www.petzl.com/us/pro/harnesses-0 BRUTE OUTDOORS: rugged coolers & ice chests - made in Colorado The best and most rugged ice chest you could ever buy .... http://www.bruteoutdoors.com/ Notes: Brute is a great example of where we are going with our branding and look. Quality of product - price is not an issue for those who buy this. They appreciate the design and the quality and that it is made in USA. http://cherryboxusa.com/ example of innovation for the film industry - reinvention of a the classic film apple box (made normally from wood) go pro.... http://gopro.com/ you already know about go pro.... PELICAN CASES... http://www.pelican.com/ travel anywhere, protect your gear, expensive but your gear is safe no matter what... I think you get the point from the manufactures we plan to carry. No one in the entertainment industry is doing what we are doing... so we need to stand out but be accessible to older decision makers 40+ working in a theatre on a windows computer, the 30+ touring production manager for Nine Inch Nails on a mac laptop and the 20-30 year old EDM roadie which needs to by a new Petzel helmet with headlame using his ipad from his tour bus while traveling the world. Thank your for reading this and submitting to the contest....
Logo types to explore
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
Please try to dig deep in coming up with your design. Please come up with submissions which communicate our brand's values. Please try to avoid the "PUBLIC's" film related stereotypes such as including - "Film Cameras" "Film Projectors" "Directors Chairs" or "Film Reels" in your submission. Our site will be as much an online SHOWROOM as an E-Com site. We will be a dealer for high end theatre tools and products - some which can sell in the $10,000 range. Try to think of it this way - we sell mercedes benz's, BMWs, Cadillacs, and some Mini Cooper S's and some Mustang GTs. (no base models - all high design and high quality) Additional Notes: We like high quality modernist clean design. We like designs with DIMENSIONALALITY. Logos with quality DETAILS are important to us. (like dimensional rivets or screws)
