Whose Turn
I wrote this application and it is live on Facebook. I want to make it look cool and slick but I lack the graphics-fu so need you to help me create some wonderful looking icons that represent this application.
The application helps you, your friends and colleagues keep track of whose turn it is to pay, buy, share, bring, drive, etc...". I wrote it because my colleague and I could never remember whose turn it was to pay for the taxi when we took CalTrain up to San Francisco but I made the application more general purpose. Examples this application supports include "Whose turn is it to pay for lunch?", "Whose turn is it to pay for the taxi?", "Whose turn is it to buy the beer?", "Whose turn is it to pick up the kids?". These folks are spontaneously coordinating collaborative activities, which would be burdensome to use calendaring or email for since their lives are very dynamic. This application is for Facebook users, ideally who are using it from an iPhone although many will be using it from their browser on their PC or Mac. Overall, I'm looking for something that helps users understand what the application does, connects it to the name "Whose Turn" and looks cool/slick and somewhat professional.
The Facebook Application I wrote is called "Whose Turn?" and I need 5 icons/logos. The format of the icons should be PNG. The size of the icons I'd like are (in order of importance and use are). The first four are for Facebook: 75x75 pixels, 32x32 pixels, 16x16 pixels, and 256x256. The last one is for the top of the about web page: 130x30 pixels. You are required to deliver all of these icon sizes with crisp images. Image background should be white or transparent or have a clear border. I will give preference to folks who submit all image sizes during the contest. You will be listed as the designer of the icons on the Whose Turn about applications page with a link to your website/page (if you wish).
These logos/icons should help users understand the meaning of this application. Ideally the logo/icons should more than one person. You could also include imagery about remembering since this application helps you to remember and/or collaboration. I don't expect text in any of them except the for the about page, which can have it (your discretion).
The URL to this application is http://www.whoseturn.net and it runs in a web browser and on the iPhone. It roughly uses the iPhone style. You can access it within Facebook go to http://apps.facebook.com/whose_turn/ but also be sure to go to it directly at http://www.whoseturn.net.
