How novam3 started their logo design journey
Square 1:21 is a new product offering specifically targetting the church community. The product allows churches to stream their live services in real time. Unlike streaming video that isolates watchers alone on the Internet, Square 1:21 combines live moderated chat, sermon notes, closed captioning, a global map of attendees, dynamic "ads" and many other community oriented features to create a shared place of worship.
Square 1:21 Name Concept:
Pronounced "Square One Twenty-One"
Christian Meaning - Churches often refer and talk highly of the 1st Century Christian church (the church structure and family that formed right after Jesus' resurrection). 1 symbolizes both the idea of sharing the message of Jesus as the disciples and early Christian church did in the 1st century. Square 1 is the idea of returning or reconsidering the fundamentals or starting point for what it means to be a «church» (e.g. the famous saying/idiom «start from square one». The 21 is in reference to using 21st century techniques (e.g. an online streaming live, interactive web-based church service) to accomplish the 1st century goals in the 21st century.
Non-Religious Meaning (for non-faith-based sales customers) – Square 1 means to reinvent, or rethink how people do events online. 21 refers to using 21st century, modern techniques to achieve a new level of community for live events on the web.
