help me choose a new logo for my photography studio!
I specialize in pregnancy, newborn and child photography, and I occasionally also photograph couples, weddings and headshots.
Oana Hogrefe Photography
Here is what I have right now:
http://www.shutterviewphoto.blogspot.com
I would like to still use the O and H, but not spelling OH or HO, which is why I did the overlapping in my version.
My tagline is currently:
your beauty . revealed
I am unsure whether I want it in the logo; I would prefer the dot to be midway up, rather than a mere period.
Special graphics: I like swirls, flowers (a tulip?), other fresh images suggesting childhood, but not incompatible with more grown up photography.
These are however getting quite trendy, so a more geometric approach may work as well.
consider a stylized image of a sun for the graphic, it does not HAVE to be a flower
The main purchasers of photography are women, so this should be appealing to them in a subtle way.
Color scheme: I love the aqua/turquiose. I also like silver, black and white for ease of matching with envelopes, etc
I would like to maintain some turquoise, I think, but am open to other colors and combinations, especially light green, yellow/orange, red, pink... Not all at once necessarily (unless as petals in a daisy like flower, or similar)
My style is relaxed, modern, polished, emotive.
Consider a circular design as well.
try a baroque element for the graphic too? other words coming to mind, as the feel needs to be mroe upscale: boutique, maybe vintage, crisp lines
Photoshop unflattened files preferred, as long as large enough for use on printed materials, etc.
I'll try to add reviews as items get posted -- thank you!
EDITED TO ADD:
Flowers I LOVE and mean something to me, in order of the preferrence of which ones I'l love to see examples of: "ghiocel" (google it, don't know the English for it), lily of the valley, hyacinth, fresia, crocus
Ideally, the shape of the graphic would resemble one of them
consider a stylized image of a sun for the graphic, it does not HAVE to be a flower
- it should have Oana Hogrefe Photography in it
- intials and tagline (see above) are preferred but not a must have
- some turquiose in the coloring (preferred, but not firm)
- appeal to women, moms, while not alienating man
- convey concepts like: quality, modern, joy, professionalism, fresh, love, memories
- possibly have http://www.shutterview.com as well, which is my website
- not too busy
- should be able to be recognizable without the text, in case I need to use the graphic by itself on stickers, etc
- should work as a watermark, on dark and light backgrounds (see my blog for picture examples)
