AVANTIS Coriolis Technology
This is a newly separated BRAND in our suite of different flow technologies. Company was founded in 1984 and has wrestled with identity since the merger with another company in 2002. Now faced with inadequate branding in some sectors of our business, we are breaking out separate brands, each which focus on one specific technology family. This one is the CORIOLIS family.
Coriolis mass flow meters were developed long ago, and the market is dominated by just a couple large companies: Emerson/MicroMotion and Endress & Hauser. It is a highly specialized technology that measures the rate of flow, density, and temperature of the fluid passing through it. It is a more expensive option than some other types of flow meters (actually known as the "gold standard" of flow), but offers benefits such as no moving parts (easier to clean) and smooth tubes (can handle thick,abraisive or particle-filled fluids).
