How Eric Robinson started their logo design journey
Perry Prosthetics Inc.
Any company can make prosthetic limbs, but very few can boast that the owner wears his own creation. Prosthetics is cool, we love what we do and we want to improve our image. We are a young, fun group of people with huge hearts and we care about what we do for people, that sets us apart from our competititors. There is nothing more satisfying to us than to deliver a prosthesis to somebody and watch the smile of independence shine through. We see a fair bit of elderly folks but we have a number of patients that are young and very competitive in sports and many other activities. We are growing rapidly with a focus on a nationwide business, so we need a solid foundation regarding our logo design.
Fresh and clean is our aim for the new image. We will be updating everything we put our logo on so we want to have the logo adaptable to color chages. For example we may embroider the logo on to a black, light blue, green or white shirt so we may have to invert the colors of the name in the logo. We are looking for classy with an edge! http://www.perryprosthetics.com
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Our customers are amputees and the rehabilitation professionals like doctors, physical and occupational therapists.
We get our business from the hospitals and doctors, they feed us a continuos stream of new amputees to be fit with a prosthesis. So they are our real source of business. However, the amputee has potential to spread the word of how they liked their prosthetic treatment or care they received to other amputees and that turns into business. We need to have appeal to the amputees and the healthcare professionals both.
The elderly population wants to know that Perry Prosthetics will be taking good care of them and the younger amputees want to know that we are plugged into and know how to use the latest technology to accomodate their lifestyle. Some of our patinets compete in extreme sports through the http://www.extremitygames.com. Check it out, you will see how
The current logo is a personified amputee abstractly drawn. We like the 'perry dude'. He needs a sleeker look though. Swooshy and clean.
Perry dude's current color is burgandy but we need him to be adaptable to royal blue and dark green. We will be using the logo accross mutilple programs that invole the healthcare professionals and the amputess. Please provide examples of them in the following colors:
1. Medical - Royal Blue
2. Health & Wellness - Dark Green
3. Perry Prosthetics company its' self. - Burgandy
The Perry Prosthetics Inc. logo it will remain burgandy. You can see it at http://www.perryprosthetics.com.
Clean and fresh is our desire.
We want a logo that can support many different medias. Like electronic web, paper, fabric.
Please be creative on the 'perry dude', we are encouraging you all to look at this from farther away than we are. Creative license is desired!
