This entire process was very simple and so worth it. We are so impressed with the designs we got. Thanks.
How Sweet Fool started their logo design journey
Sweet Fool is a soon-to-be-launched cookie and chocolate confection company in Washington, D.C. I am a chocolatier, so chocolate will be a major theme in the company. Most of the products are cookies featuring very high quality chocolate. Products range from classic rustic cookies like a Flourless Peanut Butter and Chocolate to the more exotic Chocolate Chipotle, and I will also offer dainty elegant sandwich cookies using hazelnuts, pistachios, and almond paste. Some will even be partially dipped in chocolate. To start, we will offer more cookies than confections, but we will also launch with English Toffee and French-style mendiants, which are palm-sized chocolate disks studded with a variety of nuts and dried fruit.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Pretty much anyone with a sweet tooth :-) More specifically, the products will be sold primarily to specialty retailers for resale in gourmet shops and cafes, but I will also take retail orders from the general public for parties, weddings, etc.
The Sweet Fool logo will be used on the website as well as on printed product labels and business cards. The design should feature a jester hat as an accent and should predominantly incorporate the color purple (more than one shade is fine), leaning toward the combination of lavender and darker side, something close to RGB values of 108/11/92. I would like to see a clean yet classy font. The overall feel of the design should be whimsical but elegant, and the jester hat should look Shakespearean, since the name Sweet Fool is inspired by a line in King Lear. As a visual reference, the style of jester hat should be the classic floppy hat with three points, each of which has a jingle bell at the end. I would like it to have an authentic hand-drawn look to it, so that it doesn't look like clip art or a stock image. ALL DESIGNS MUST BE ORIGINAL WORK. No licensed content, please.
