How Lapidus started their logo design journey
The Hot Dog Company
We are taking the best of different regions of hot dogs and putting them under one roof. Chicago is a Hot Dog town, but we only know one way. At the Hot Dog Company; Classic Chicago, hand-dipped corn dog, fried dog, grilled dog, hand cut fries, homemade italian beef, sausage and polish. Our insipration for colors is the diet coke can with more red and black. Our fresh veggies will be displayed to see and the kitchen is open. We are a classic hot dog place, but not too stuffy and corporate! Awesome food! Cool enviornment with awesome service.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We will target the blue collar people as well as teen agers and white collar people in the area. The town we are in is a suburb right outside of Chicago that is considered a restaurant town! People care about food and price. Day time traffic will be the people that work in town and at other retail and restaurants and nighttime will be families. Again, this is a Restaurant town.
As above. Diet Coke Can was our inspiration for colors. NOT TOO MUCH silver. Silver is too 1980's but is a good accent.
-NO pictures or characters of hot dogs as logos, but looking for some symbol or icon even if it is a line.
-Not fancy, but cool and approachable.
-Not cheesey and NO clipart.
-Must have the entire name in logo, no intials. The Hot Dog Company.
-We are going to have pictures of famous companies from movies on wall.
-Think nostolgic, vintage logos.
-Think old pop can tops, potbelly sandwich works, a stamp material. Want to get a stamp and stamp this logo on a brown bag.
-Can be any shape.
-The Hot Dog Company will become an institution, so think of branding it on shirts that people wear everywhere. The logo must be that cool!
