Working with this designer has been a fantastic experience! It's our first time using 99Designs for a logo and stationary. We chose the gold package. This designer submitted the most potential logos out of any other designer in the contest and responded quickly to changes and feedback. Once we selected one of his logos, he was very easy to work with in revising the finished product. Overall, a very professional and talented designer. Our project will provide an easy-to-understand, research backed guide on how research impact metrics should be interpreted and used for tenure, grant applications, and more.
Our aim is to make this webapp a must-use resource among American universities (and hopefully, the world over!) within the next two years.
Librarians and researchers will use this toolkit for education and advocacy. The toolkit would consist of relatively simple textual explanations for various types of metrics and how they can be used as evidence of impact. The graphics and text could be optimized for online and print use. Something similar to Why Open Research (http://whyopenresearch.org/) in the use of graphics and text.
