m3mk got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Modern, youthful, feminine logo for environmental website
Check out m3mk's Logo design contest…
We are a social enterprise looking for a logo that is clean, with a font that instills trust (though we are not a bank, we are a website that recommends banks!), and a logo image that is simple, elegant and denotes something about nature. Most people still do not realise, but the financial institutions where they entrust their money are lending against these deposits to fund the rapidly escalating climate crisis. Since the 2015 Paris Agreement, 35 of the world’s largest banks have financed fossil fuel extraction and exploration to the tune of $2.7 trillion! What’s more, their investments in these activities continue to increase every year, despite what we now know about the devastation they cause to life on earth. Bank.green is a web destination that aims to educate the public on banks’ environmental destruction while fostering an empowered community to take action against it, by switching to greener, more ethical banks. We're here for the environment, climate change, life, animals, nature, to have a better future on our planet. To stop money from going to pollution and destruction of earth but instead to sustainability, to green projects, to renewable projects so we can do more good and benefit everyone.
