Who We Are: Cruises for Less will be a new online travel agency (OTA) that will specialize in selling non-luxury cruises directly to consumers. We’re created by travel professionals who have helped match travelers to the right cruises since 1972. Now, we're bringing together the most popular cruise brands and itineraries with great offers and promotions in seamless experience at CruisesForLess.com. The Ask: Create a logo / brand mark for Cruises for Less: - Overall, we want to connote “value” without screaming cheap. (In other words, don't focus on the "less" part of Cruises for Less; avoiding ValueCity-type marks.) - Be modern, engaging and fun while cuing the brand is credible and trustworthy. Our Target Consumer: We're for self-directed, value-driven cruise seekers in North America. Although almost 70% of cruise bookings are still made through a "traditional" travel agent, these consumers ideally want to book online with maximum confidence and minimal hassle. They're seeking or open to travel on these cruise brands: Carnival Cruise Line, Disney Cruise Line, MSC Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, Celebrity Cruises, Holland America Line or Princess Cruises. Demographically, they're 25-54 years old and have $75-150K household income. Most take vacations with a significant other. About 30-40% will also travel with kids. The Consumer/Brand Connection: Researching, choosing and buying a cruise can be a complicated travel purchase. Consumers have to search through a seemingly endless array of cruise options (brands, ships, itineraries, dates and room selection) and prices (fares and offers that change frequently). HOW someone books is yet another question: “Darling, should we go through a travel agent, book directly with a cruise line or book through a third party website?” In short, “easy” is a relative term. Even the “easy” things with cruise searching and booking are still more difficult than they should be when compared to other travel shopping experiences. In a world where the overwhelming nature of cruise shopping means even the easiest things are still often difficult to understand/find/do, Cruises for Less will create value through simplicity. Brand Beliefs: - Even the savviest travelers benefit from easily finding the cruise vacation that’s right for them. - Insider knowledge, helpful tools, a seamless experience and price guarantee are all part of the value equation. - The faster someone finds what they’re looking for, the sooner they can start getting excited about their cruise. This will be our first consumer-facing deliverable and asset.
