FortisSystems got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Need an Original, Clean, and Modern Logo - Not "Web 2.0"
Check out FortisSystems's Logo design contest…
We are a small but growing firm specializing in custom software development and network security services. We're looking for a clean and modern logo. We are open to all concepts.
What's your vision?
We perform custom software development and network security services for mostly mid-size to large companies. We have recently been acquired and are seeking to re-brand ourselves as we expand our operations. We are looking for a logo that can be used across all of our branding options (website, letterhead, business cards, etc ...). We are looking for something clean, modern, and strong. Something that will play to our security-focused customers. We are open to all concepts. We are not a "Web 2.0" company and are not in the market (necessarily) for that particular "look"... though as I said above we are very open-minded about this.
More of the same.

99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
