Hey we are marketing a new Web 2.0 software startup to US and global small growing businesses.
The startup makes software that helps businesses be more productive by sharing tasks amongst each other in a team. These tasks are put into "pailz" (buckets) - that can then be passed from pail to pail until complete.
We are modelling ourselves on companies like: Freshbooks.com, tickspot.com, basecamp, remember the milk and expensify.
We come from a background of social media and business process management software.
We are an upstart and we want to include game features in the application so we have a fun outlook while helping people getting serious work done.
18-50 year old company managers in small businesses, mainly male. We are targeting small firms between 2-50 employees who are just starting to choose software to streamline their business processes.
These people tend to be:
- self driven, motivated
- time poor
- highly aspirational and entrepreneurial
- quick thinking
UPDATE - I've just added two new images - mock ups by my wife. We'd be interested in seeing a design based on these!
We will award prize tomorrow morning.
We are looking for a clean, clear logo in the tradition of Web 2 software design.
The logo should include:
- the word Pailz
- one or more pails (bucket)
- one or more tasks moving between the pails
The logo could include:
- human icon
The logo will need to stand out from the crowd in marketplaces such as itunes, google market (http://www.google.com/enterprise/marketplace/) and directories such as go2 web2: (check out http://www.go2web20.net/)
The pail is probably the trickiest part of this. We ideally want a pail that can eventually be part of the web application design itself - tasks would be inside the pail with words on.
This is an entirely new brand.
Having done competitions before, and running a design agency in London, I will be happy to provide ample and quick feedback to designs. I will provide general feedback for all too.
For the winning (and runner up designers) there is potential for paid work after the competition as we seek to build out the design into web sites, web apps and other market materials as we require.
