How Swish Wine started their logo design journey
We are a family-owned wine company based in Australia's Hunter Valley. We're looking to launch a premium brand to join our portfolio.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
People who enjoy wine.
People prepared to spend a little more on a better quality wine.
The label needs to reflect that this wine is a premium quality wine that will retail for c.US$25.
We require a brand identity for use on wine labels and ultimately in marketing collateral - both in print and online. This is for a premium brand. The design needs to reflect this.

A Saltire is also the name of the Scottish flag - we'd like this brand to appeal to Scots but the name and the diagonal cross should be enough. We don't want the brand to alienate non-Scots.
The Saltire needs to be referenced in the design. But it does NOT need to be the large or dominant component.
The typeface/font used will be equally important. And perhaps the most dominant aspect of the logo. It could be a something with a celtic influence - but not too celtic. Another font we like is the font used for the "PINK" in the Thomas Pink logo - see http://www.thomaspink.com. (Does anyone know what this type of font is called BTW?) Or something like that. It needs to be distinguished, and have presence.
Colour is not too important - the preference is for silver or a deep red, blue or green.
