Maximum Profit Group
I am a young, energetic professional who is starting an independent sales rep firm. I am partnering with another company to offer services to medium to large (Fortune 500) companies which will help them increase their bottom lines. We will do this by offering services to reduce risk (vendor and client screenings) and cut operational costs (costs which are normally overlooked like shipping and utilities). My job is to refer a steady stream of prospects to my affiliate partner.
My logo is going to be on the envelopes and letterhead I send out to prospects as well as on my business cards. Therefore, it needs to communicate success, professionalism, and authority.
I would like to communicate my personality in my brand as well. I am a very professional person, one who takes great pride in doing a great job. I also am BOLD and passionate about SERVING others. I truly want to help my clients be successful!
I also desire to be efficient: efficient with time, talent, and resources. Efficiency is one of the reasons I picked the name I did: MPG can also stand for miles per gallon. I am also a car nut who loves to soup-up cars. As such, speed is a quality we bring to the table as we will provide a quick turnaround in the services we offer. For one of our services, we offer a 1-3 business day turnaround.
My target market are mainly the Chief Financial Officers of midsized companies all the way up to Fortune 500 firms. I can also reach out to the CEO's, Controllers, and/or Vice Presidents of Compliance. I am mainly targeting retailers, manufacturers and hospitals.
My marketing will consist mainly of direct mail sales letters and brochures followed up by a phone call to the decision maker, typically the CFO. I need a logo design that will look professional enough to 1st get past the executive's assistant, then get on his desk, get opened and read. I need to convey success, power, and authority. I will be using superior quality paper and envelopes.
Again, the objective is to create a logo, along with high-quality paper and envelopes, that will stand out from the rest of a busy executive's mail pile. I need the envelope to get past the gatekeeper, get on his desk, get opened, and get read. I need it to look professional and prestigious while conveying a sense of efficiency.
I think the logo should be mostly black with a highlight of another color, perhaps a dark red or blue. I believe the font should be consistent with a management consulting firm, probably a sans-serif.
I want it to look a little more progressive than McKinsey and Company's logo (http://www.mckinsey.com) or Booz Allen Hamilton (http://www.boozallen.com). I would like to have the initials MPG really stand out and then have the company name either to the right of it or underneath. The words "Maximum" and "Profit" should obviously stand out more than "Group".
I like the design of BMW's M series. I'm not sure if that style would be professional enough but maybe we could incorporate a feature of it.
