- The Casper
Everything was great, he went above and beyond the deliverable and provided a few extra screens. Very happy.
VanjaL is a wonderful designer to work with. Great eye for design, balance, and minimalism. VanjaL was fast to incorporate my feedback into the design and work with me on many revisions. I would highly recommend VanjaL.
How lgbtq started their logo design journey
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Equity Center at the University of Maryland. We serve LGBT communities and their allies, and our target audience includes our university's students, staff, faculty, and alumni. Our university's mascot is a turtle, specifically a diamondback terrapin. This logo will become a symbol reaching thousands of people. If you have the time, you can read about our organization's vision, mission, and values here: http://lgbt.umd.edu/about.html And you can view a video about us here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KUb5f3Eu7fA

Logo types to explore
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
Upon viewing, the logo needs to immediately invoke two ideas without any associated text: (1) the association with the LGBT pride colors and (2) the image of a turtle that associates to our school's mascot, a diamondback terrapin. The image should be pleasant/friendly, something a person could associate themselves with.
Please submit only the logo on a white background. The logo should be vector-based. We are including our previous logo for reference.
Our polling suggests that our constituents are less interested in logos that look like cartoon characters or that could come across as childish or immature, and they tend to favor more abstract images, but that are clearly recognizable (including from a distance) with the pride colors and with the turtle image being very obvious. Our constituents also do not want an image that looks like a sea turtle with flippers, it should be able to be associated more closely with a terrapin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diamon…k_terrapin).
