sangiro got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Scuba Diving site Logo and Header
Check out sangiro's Logo design contest…
Our new scuba diving portal has yet to be branded and we want you to have a go at it. We're looking for a clean logo and header banner that will become the foundation of our visual branding and marketing. We will work with the winner on future brand-related design needs for online and off-line media.
What's your vision?
To launch our web site we require: - Logo - Header BannerPlease see: http://www.d4drmedia.com/divetime_colors.jpg The logo will appear in the top left corner of every page on the site and will be layered over the header banner as background. Our designs are fluid, meaning the header can "stretch", but is optimized for 1000px width. Any graphic or images used as a background should "bleed" to a solid color on the right with at least 1/3 of the screen width remaining. The header can incorporate either an image (we will aquire the rights to any stock images you may use) or a graphic scuba-related motive (eg: bubbles) Competing sites: - www.scuba.com - www.scubadiving.com - www.divespots.com - www.scubaboard.com - www.cyberdiver.net - www.hotdive.com
- Simple - Comprehensible - Differentiating - Relevant - Striking - Logo image and incorporate the brand name "Divetime.com" - Free to pick colors but must blend with the example image provided (http://www.d4drmedia.com/divetime_colors.jpg)
- A logo that's too realistic - Logo or background that is 'busy' - No funny or child-like logos - No text only logos
