Kim was great to work with--efficient, responsive to my needs, and really flexible. I had over 220 designs submitted, and hers always stood out. She has a really good eye for design and a professional touch. I highly recommend her.
How DJnoah started their logo design journey
Hi-Lite Security is one of the longest-running Security and Crowd Control companies in a rural area approximately 200 miles from a developed regional city. There has never been any real competition until recently, and several new companies have started up -- using marketing and service techniques that copy Hi-Lite Security. Up until recently, Hi-Lite has been known for dog patrol as well as security and crowd control services. The existing brand smacks of 1985 standards and uses a lot of cheesy gimmicks that are quite passe in today's security industry. Several new opportunities are coming up for providing high quality security services to large industrial projects and / or outsourcing to large international security firms and the new logo needs to have a strong, hi-visibility, corporate yet customer-service (approachable) look and feel.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Owners of local rural businesses: retail, restaurants, movie theaters, bars, nightclubs; typically men aged 30 - 45. Also, OSHA and security Service Managers (and their administrative assistants / secretaries) for large industrial construction and resource corporations -- or the associated services that work with them like trucking / shipping / equipment manufacturers and distributors; typically men aged 30 - 60 and their administrative assistants / secretaries, who will most likely look at the logo on a website and qualify the company by looking at the quality of design before recommending their boss look at the company.
The new logo needs to stand head and shoulders above the competition in design integrity and have a related look and feel (while staying unique in its design) to the 'complimentary brands' in the attached example of logos we like. The new logo needs to convey a sense of customer service as being first and foremost in effective security and crowd control. Modern security is about creating and promoting positive relations between companies and the public, and proactively preventing issues -- rather than dealing with them as they arise. As such, the logo needs to be classy, stylish, modern and cool.
As a point of reference to the old familiar logo, if the dog motif is used it needs to be rendered in a very modern and professional way, or with a classical 'emblem' feeling as in one of the attached examples.
Deliverable needs to be in either AI format or vector EPS with transparent background - thanks!
