I am appealing to a private school community of discerning, highly educated, upper/upper middle-class parents in San Francisco. My student client base will most likely be elementary/middle school-aged, so the logo, and the treatmentof my name, should be somewhat kid-friendly, but not juvenile.
As far as visual elements, I was thinking that something like a light bulb illuminating (even though it's trite) conveys the right idea. Or the rear-view of a child raising their hand in class. Something that shows kids "getting the right idea" or achieving success...
My personality is warm and friendly, and I'm knowledgeable, though I also have a good sense of humor, and I am good with kids. Again, it's a mix of serious professionalism/trust and kid-friendly, positivity.
If I had a slogan it might be something like:
