How Jon Stephens started their logo design journey
I'm an internet entrepreneur who has already developed several websites.
The site will be a place that people can go to search for new exciting challenges to take part in, whether it is climbing Mount Kilimajaro, running the New York Marathon, learning Spanish or travelling to all 7 continents. So, there's not one specific topic, but people will be coming to the site to feel inspired, discuss ideas, share their experience and track their progress.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
The site will be for anyone who is in to challenging themself, finding new things to do, pushing themselves and expanding their comfort zone.
Initally I'm imagining the audience will be mainly young people based in cities, who want to make the most of their holidays and do some really exciting and useful things with their lives.
The site is yet to be built and I'm looking for the logo to provide the direction for the brand, and to a certain extent, the design of the rest of the site.
I'm looking for a logo that will help the site stand-out from the web 2.0 crowd. Something that is fresh and engaging and that has something aspirational and energetic about it. The logo will be based on the words 'findmeachallenge', but may also contain an image.
One idea I have had is to use the thought of expanding the comfort zone to provide a nice icon or graphic. I'm not wedded to this idea, however, and am very open to new ideas.
It's a pretty open brief, but I will provide lots of feedback throughout the competition.
