How Just Like Ed started their logo design journey
I am an innovative web developer, planning to make the content management system I've been working on over the past year, a market ready product. It features a brand new, very intuitive, fresh, and approachable way of working that I haven't encountered in any other system.
A website created/managed in my CMS will have every piece optimized and generated dynamically. Everything can be controlled from within the system; from the page and object content to the overall template and the layout of individual parts (e.g. what a blog post in the main overview looks like v.s. what a blog post in the archive overview looks like).
This is the first time I'm trying 99Designs and I am actually pretty excited at what the result will be.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
I am primarily targeting people with slightly above average HTML/CSS skills who are looking for an easy way to manage their own and/or their client's websites from a single system but, have no desire in spending hours of coding.
Second I am targeting people who want to manage every piece of their website's layout and behavior (custom design, tinkering with the way content displays), but again, without coding.
I am looking for a fresh and upbeat looking logo, which still shows that it's a professional product.
Although I don't have any specific colors in mind I can imagine that (for example) blue would give it too much of a business feeling. I don't that, I'd like a more positive, friendly and approachable feel to the logo. Although I am targeting people with some web knowledge, I'd still like the logo to look approachable to most people. It shouldn't be something cold and technological.
