If We Want to Grow Good Fruit, We Cannot Neglect the Seed(may not need to be incorporated into the logo)
Good Fruit Works is a rhyming children's book series. Its target age group is 2-8, but can be for a child a little older. The books are intended to engage and educate children in a fun way, starting at an early age, on topics that are often neglected in childhood.
Other color requirements
I'd like brown for the tree trunk, green for the leaves, and a variety of bold colors according to their respective parts, and based on designer recommendations.
This project is almost 2 years in the making. Originally, my logo idea was a tree with kids picking fruit from the tree(I'll explain this later). As I was looking for examples of what I had in mind, I came across the perfect photo(I will attach). A brief background of the name and the reason for the tree logo: Like humans, a tree’s growth is complex and dependent on many factors for proper growth. From a seed, roots will sprout, and with proper nourishment, protection, and other variables, it tree will flourish. We are like trees, requiring nurturing of a similar fashion to grow and, in turn, bear good fruit. The seeds we plant into our youth are a reflection of our roots, morals, personal values and experiences. The “fruit” we bear is their nourishment. They learn everything from us and their immediate surroundings. Sow seeds of life, love, kindness, wisdom, knowledge, vigilance, positive self-esteem, morality, faith, humility, etc. into a child, and there is a good chance he or she will sow it back. I'd like the tree to be very similar in style(cartoonish) and content as the one pictured. I want the fruit to be apples and oranges, plus books, and hearts(for love). I also love the idea of the music notes(b/c music brings joy and is healing for some), the globe(represents travel). I'd also like the tree to consist of symbols that represent unity, truth, peace, faith, and other positive things that we want to teach our kids and see them express later in life. The other important feature is the child reaching for what's on the tree. I'd like to have at least 2 kids(3 if possible) and I want them to represent different ethnicities and genders. The boy in the photo is perfect, but his skin tone could be a shade lighter, and with blonde hair. I'd like the other character to be a girl with a brown skin tone, two puffy ponytails, casually dressed(no book bag). If there is a third character, I'd want him or her to appear physically different than the other two characters.
