W.Doyle got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Will Doyle Needs New Real Estate Logo

It's a lifestyle.
Real Estate & Mortgage
I'm a real estate salesperson in Toronto, Ontario. I focus on marketing and selling residential properties within Toronto. I offer premium marketing services to all clients (i.e. professional photographers, home staging, virtual tours, online ads and social media etc.) I usually deal with mid to high-end homes worth $600,000-$1,500,000 and clients who are looking for the best service that will sell their property.
Logo types to explore
The main thing I'm looking for is something: clean, simple, and original. I'm focused on listing and selling property, and not to those who are looking for the realtor with the cheapest commission who'll only post it on MLS. I'm targeted towards those who understand that marketing, selling, and handling the transaction of their real estate is something worth paying a professional to handle their property professionally. For that reason, I want my impression on clients to be that I'm: professional and that I offer a top of the line service, while not coming off pretentious. Please stay away from condos or high-rise buildings, I deal mainly with single detached homes or townhouses. Although I'd rather you stay completely away from a building image altogether, only making an exception if it's very unique and original. I not currently using a slogan, but If you can come up with a clever and original slogan for the logo that works well, by all means I'd love to see it! As for the font, nothing specific in mind except I prefer sans serif than serif style. --------------------------------------- Things I'd like to avoid: - *** OVERUSED REAL ESTATE LOGO DESIGNS (please stay away from the standard rooftop/building/condo design, I want to stand apart from the generic realtor) - 'word art' style images - 3D images (I don't want any heavy graphics, keep it simple) --------------------------------------- *** UPDATE *** I've been doing some more brainstorming on design ideas. I can see how the logical and most apparent solution to my logo would be some form of 'WD', but I wanted something with more depth and meaning to it. I've thought of an image idea I'd like to see some of you try out: an Owl holding a key. See attached file: Snowy Owl (Bubo scandiacus) The idea is that the owl would represent wisdom and intelligence and symbolize transition, while the key would relate it to real estate. I'd want something more graceful, rather than aggressive, and obviously there should be a decent amount of emphasis on they key. Not sure what you guys can come up with off that, but it's the best idea I've got right now. If you have any other ideas that's different but carries relevant meaning, by all means! I want a design that people aren't used to seeing in the industry. I want to say I'm different. Can't wait to see what you come up with! Thanks you for reading through this and helping me get to where I want to go. I really appreciate all the help! Will
