Wheelz, Inc. / wheelz.com
Wheelz is a peer-to-peer car sharing service (think HomeAway/airbnb meets ZipCar.), launched through existing communities and networks (think Universities, Corporate Campuses, etc.) Cars are the second largest personal asset class after homes, and unlike homes, which appreciate in value over time, cars begin loosing value the minute they drive off the car lot. Further, cars are an asset class characterized by low utilization rates; indeed, most vehicles are parked 22 of 24 hours daily. This is a horribly inefficient solution for our planet and our individual pocket books. Wheelz will provide a compelling economic opportunity for car owners - a platform that will allow them to securely lease their car out on an hourly or daily basis when its not in use - and a convenient and affordable personal transportation solution for those who don't own cars.
We will create a more economical (earn or save money), more ecological (reduce number of cars on the road and total miles driven), and more communal transportation service for our members.
By focusing on existing communities such as colleges and universities, wheelz will look to leverage the sense of community that already exists within its local memberships to foster trust between car lenders/borrowers.
Car owners and potential car borrowers which is obviously broad.
Early adopters and the young, tech savvy and smart phone crowd will be especially important.
Early focus will likely be college and university market, however don't want to limit ourselves to this market place with too college-centric design
A sense of community, trust and sharing are critical attributes to convey, along with the transportation/car story.
Using a car wheel in the design may make sense given our name, Wheelz.
This will be used for web and print applications so relatively high resolution is required.
Please develop .jpg and .eps files.
