Our company seeks to standardize the Microsoft Word (we are currently using word 2010) template used by all employees for the creation of procedures and manuals.
We wish to have a title sheet including our company logo as well as a place to display the logo for the customer for whom the procedure and manual is written for. Our current title sheet incorporates a blue bar at the bottom. While we would like some blue color for the cover, but we do not wish to have a completely colored cover sheet as these documents will be printed when, not viewed as a PDF file, typically in black and white. We would like the focus to be on the E3 logo instead of the customer logo which will be different on each document. We also would like a place on the title sheet to display the title of the document and the revision number. We are very open to creative design ideas for the cover page.
We also wish to have a revision history table contained somewhere within the document, which details the changes made in each revision of the document, who made the changes and who approved the changes.
There should also be copyright information contained somewhere within the document.
The document should have a table of contents.
The main body of the document should be divided into different levels of headers. These should fall into a numbered outline format in the format 188.8.131.52.1..., 184.108.40.206.1.., etc. The body of the document will contain many figures and tables which will be captioned using the Word cross referenced caption tool. These captions will appear below the inserted object and should follow the general design of the document.
Each page, aside from the title page, should have a header and / or footer. Each page should have the title of the document and page number. The designer should feel free to have creativity with the header and footer.
