Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are a sports management company specializing in women's lacrosse. We run club teams, leagues, and events including camps and tournaments. We cater to female athletes in elementary through high school.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
We host a youth and high school lacrosse tournament called the Pumpkin Shootout. This will be our 8th year and it has grown from a small, seven team event to one hosting over 50 teams from around the state. We have middle and high school divisions. We just made the leap from a volunteer organization to a for-profit business and we need to show how we have grown. We need an eye-catching, fun logo designed for the event as well as a t-shirt to accompany it. We have never had a logo designed for the event and while we have sold t-shirts in the past, they were very basic, homemade designs that weren't polished (see attached flyer for image). We would like to have a logo for print (signage) and web use as well as a t-shirt that incorporates the logo. The design should reflect the time of year (October 20th - week before Halloween) and should be something that appeals to middle and high school athletes alike. Nothing girly, frilly, or overly young but also nothing out of Walking Dead (we have little kids attending!). The logo should reflect that it's a lacrosse tournament and other than that, we are open to almost anything. I attached last year's waiver, which includes the "logo" - it's totally terrible.
Must include the words "8th Annual Pumpkin Shootout Lacrosse Tournament"
Can include lacrosse sticks but only if they are incorporated creatively
Love the retro horror movie poster feel (kitschy is okay!) or even Tim Burton-esque
