Brilliant. The result was aligned with the breif, plus some adjustments that emerged during the process. Rini was very responsive along the way and very quick in the response time. Overall, I am extremely satisfied and would use this service and this designer again. Thumbs up!!!
How Kiss-the-Net started their other graphic design journey
I live and work in Bayside and this website is for the local community and visitors
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
The banner/header will be used on a website which is for locals to read the latest news as well as find their local merchant. For visitors it may just help them plan their visit a little better. Everyone will recognise from the header image one of the things the area is famous for - the bathing boxes. The image should be about the seaside 'feel of the area as well as the famous bathing boxes...plus it's about shopping!
I like the stylised look of the current header (so would want this 'style and look'), but Bayside is a beach side community famous for its bathing boxes (not for its hills!). You will note the 'small' favicon bathing box used on the website, this is for the most part the logo and we intend to keep using it - it too is very much a stylised look of a bathing box.
The header image sides must 'bleed' into the background on the sides (as does the current image) so this presents design aspects that you need to be aware of (hence the fact that the design may be more representative than factual.
The keys words are bathing boxes, sun, sand, sea, and colour! Keep the colours simple and the design simple in its look too. Final size should be 940px × 239px (or bigger but keep proportions).
Here are a number of bathing box images to inspire (the first one I really like but how to design and yet bleed the edges is the question):
