Dejan is a talented graphics designer and is very responsive and detailed. This is the second book cover he has done for me and I will use him again for future books. I recommend his services.
- Mihai Niculae
Love the elegant simplicity for a small book cover that cuts through the noise of all the details of other submissions. A pleasure to work with Mihai.
Nice guy does very nice work.
Working with Giets was a pleasure.
Her final design is inspirational and captures the essence of the book.
She was patient and understanding with the final edits.
I enjoyed the experience of collaborating and look forward to future projects with her.
Thank you Giets!

What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
Book cover for a novel -- a thriller about stopping the smuggling of endangered species. Title: The Lie-Catcher in the Primate House. Since the primate is a chimpanzee and some of the action takes place in rainforest, leafy green and black would be appropriate colors. For instance: a vague black figure seen through foreground leaves. (I don't want to give away the meaning of "primate" in too obvious a fashion.) Possibly a cage (or cage bars) somewhere to hint at the fate of captured wildlife?
Apart from the image, the cover should include the words:
The Lie-Catcher in the Primate House
and lower down, A novel by Lindsay Crane
I would favor a designer who has had book cover experience, since there are numerous technical details (placement of ISBN, wrapping around spine, etc.) to handle. Possibly the two tasks could be separated (design and technical execution).
This novel will appeal to lovers of action and wildlife. They are probably college educated, though young adults may also be interested. The lead character is a woman and the values favor conservation. I personally enjoy and emulate the novels of the late Dick Francis (though not his covers) and some of John Grisham's novels.
Print and Pixel Books website is under construction so there are no clues there (yet) about my expectations for graphics.
