Hi and welcome to the contest! I'm looking for a designer who understands how to balance identity-making with function.
This project is to give the basic 'face' to a user interface (UI) for a new web app. The web app will be a cut-down, specialist UI built using wordpress.
This brief is for what the UI will look like, not how it will function, HOWEVER, as many designers have deep knowledge of user experience (UX), I am accepting suggestions if they see a better way of doing something.
There is a 'look book' for the UI at Pinterest.
The Report Machine logo was a successful 99designs project a few months ago.
I'll also attach a draft wireframe when I figure out how to export it from Pencil. This design will iterate
-See pinterest look books and current logo for style
-Target audience is conservative but comfortable with web apps.
-Personality: reliable, straightforward, slightly stylish
-'Rolling' style (eg. ifft.com) not steps through screens
-Contest submission can be a mock-up OR a UI kit plus style guide, depending on what you think would work better
-Fonts - if you find a really good custom font that isn't expensive, include it.
-Other imagery (eg stock) yes, but only if it's integrated into the design; don't want any extraneous bling
-Report Machine Pinterest look books http://pinterest.com/reportmachine/…mpetition/ and http://pinterest.com/reportmachine/…in-design/
-Report Machine current UI - please note I will be cleaning this up over the next couple of days as it is messy. (Pencil file and PNG)
