ABOUT THE BANKING AND FINANCE OATH
The Banking and Finance Oath (The BFO) is an initiative of industry leaders, launched in 2012 following the global financial crisis, in affiliation with The Ethics Centre. The BFO is an effort to improve our society by building trust and confidence in the financial services industry by strengthening the moral and ethical foundation beyond regulation, compliance and any professional standards, and by broadening expectations and discussions to include ethics, integrity and honesty.
The BFO is hosting a conference on Thursday 8 August. Our aim to is to deliver a conference that is forward looking and positive, but also pushes the boundaries and challenges attendees to acknowledge their biases and think critically about how they can contribute to a positive future for the industry. What we don’t want the conference to be is a dissection of the royal commission and the technical and legal implications.
While we want this to be a conference for industry where they can hear from economists through to ethicists, we also want to ensure we provide a platform to talk about the 'humanistic' side of financial services.
Our target audience is young people and their leaders in financial services.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
We require a postcard that we can use to promote the conference in a digital environment (it won't be printed).
We want a design that reflects the branding, colour and 'feel' of The BFO (see logo and style guide included in this brief) but is also, clean, fresh, funky/ modern and appeals to young people and their managers who work in financial services (namely banks).
This is a co-branded conference and will also need to feature the FINSIA logo, as well as The BFO logo - FINSIA logo is also attached.
This postcard will be used to raise awareness of the conference and start promoting ticket sales by inviting people to register their interest.
The wording needs to be:
Save the date: Thursday 8 August 2019
The Banking and Finance Oath Conference: Elevate
Are you a future leader wanting to help shape the culture of financial services in Australia?
At this one-day Conference you'll hear from economists and ethicists, philosphers and bankers, regulators and academics asking the uncomfortable questions: Is the law strangling ethics? Is self-regulation dead? And what do rotting fish have to do with it?
Thursday 8 August Westpac Barangaroo
Register your interest to secure your pre-sale tickets (Note to designer: this needs to be the call to action and stand out visually and be a link to an email address: firstname.lastname@example.org)
I have included some examples of other communications we have recently developed.
My preference is for graphics over photos please, but open to an image (no boardroom/ team meeting shots please - get creative if you do use a photo)
