1) I'm having a surprise birthday party for my husband's 40th birthday. I want to have a "fake" program of events made for the weekend. I'm flying him to New York City, which was our first date, and I want the theme of the weekend to be "A Weekend of Yesteryear to Celebrate Your 40th!"
There will be a picture of the two of us (now husband and wife -- the picture will be from 20 years ago!). A "then" and "now" picture would be great. The idea is that he will think it's just the two of us, reliving our first date weekend for his 40th birthday.
So the title text will say "A Weekend of Yesteryear to Celebrate Your 40th" (feel free to make that more exciting!)...
And then there will be an itinerary, or schedule of events:
Friday, February 28, 2014:
3:00pm - Arrive in the Big Apple
6:30pm - Drinks at Milford Plaza
8:30pm - Dinner at Carmine's
Saturday, Mar 1:
A Day in New York!
7:30pm - Dinner, Drinks, and Romance in Times Square
Sunday, March 2, 2014:
10:30am: Hangover Breakfast Together
Rest of the day: Quality Time
8:00pm - Head to our new home in Charlotte, NC!
I'd like it to look romantic, like it's just the two of us. Feel free to use humor. We are modern, so make it cool -- no boring fonts or formal looking programs!!
At the surprise party, I want people to sign a guestbook or a large piece of paper that I can have framed. The event will be in the Manhattan Ballroom at the Marriott Marquis in New York. I don't have a vision about what this should look like. But it will need to be printed on paper that can be written on! :)
Please let me know if you have questions or need more info!
