Entertainment & The Arts
I'm a singer, and I give concerts featuring songs that were written during the Holocaust by Jews who were either in hiding or in the concentration camps. I sing these songs because I like to show people faith in darkness and also remind people of the atrocities that happened during the Holocaust.
What's your vision?
I want a poster designed to advertise to anyone about my music concerts coming up this month. My music concerts represent faith in despair, and also the resilience of the Jewish people. I don't have an exact, single idea how to make this poster. The only things that I require are: - To have a serious and dramatic look that will grab people's attention. Some ideas for you: Things that you could use in your poster design which represents the Holocaust is the yellow star from the Holocaust that the Jews had to wear on their clothes, a Jewish star depicted from barbed wire, or you can use a real picture from the Holocaust, or you can do something very conceptual that you make up on your own. I would like a poster that looks like it is advertising a new movie that's coming out. My concerts are like a Musical- there is also acting in them, so that's another why I like the idea of a dramatic look. I would love a tattered edge look to the poster, or for the whole poster to look tattered and old if you want. I'm pretty flexible with this. If you choose to use any pictures from the Holocaust, I don't want to show any naked starving people. You can either design the poster like a movie poster you would see at a movie theatre, or you can do something totally different that you yourself come up with. You can use the picture that I uploaded here below. If you want to put me behind barbed wire like I'm with the Jews in the Holocaust, that would be cool. I like the idea of me being "one of them" in the poster. I'm open to whatever. Just as long as it's dramatic and catches the people's attention. - To have the text on the poster easy to read so people will clearly see when and when the concert is. HERE IS THE TEXT THAT NEEDS TO BE ON THE POSTER- Concert title- Singing In The Dark Tag line- Songs from the Holocaust Featuring Rachel Hyman Beth Shalom 7 Shelter Rock RdManhasset, NY Date- May 3rd Time- 6:30 PM
If you want a picture of me for the poster, you can use this one below. The picture with the man playing the violin is a good idea on what I mean by serious, catches your attention, and like a movie like poster. The rest of the pictures I am including to give you an idea of other elements that you can use for the poster.
