Wicked Opportunities are the unique and unseen possibilities that exist due to the new, developing, and complex situations presented through wicked problems. A Wicked Opportunities mindset helps leaders embrace today’s increasing complexity as a birthplace from which to create new ideas, new products and services, and new solutions to global business challenges.
We are hosting an executive level event in September in New Zealand:
WICKED OPPORTUNITIES 2019: TRANSFORMING THE FUTURE OF NEW ZEALAND.
We need a flyer to include the agenda, event info and sponsoring org info.
Event Brief (*NOT ALL OF THIS NEEDS TO BE INCLUDED)
Leaders across New Zealand are facing an increasingly volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous environment, yet few are equipped to deal with it. Due to the enormity of the problems we face every day, our old ways of thinking and problem solving and the pressure to have all the answers, we find ourselves retreating into our silos attempting to identify “quick wins” and simple solutions. However, today’s problems cannot be solved alone or through granular and disconnected ideas. Our world of interdependent systems and domains needs leaders with bold visions who are equipped to empower those around them to create the future. Only those leaders who are ready to achieve real change through decision-making with a long-term view will be successful. We need more than leaders; we need transformers.
Do you want to be part of the solution? I’ve given you this personal invitation because I believe a small group of high achievers and influencers across industries can genuinely impact our country. It takes those who are ready to think ambitiously and act with a sense of urgency. As someone who has shown that you believe change is possible through the collective of New Zealand business leaders I hope that you will join me and some of our fellow movers and shakers to make a change for good.
Visionaries know that they must go far beyond exploring alternative possibilities if they are going to survive; they see the necessity of democratizing the future across New Zealand so that everyone can thrive. This day is about exploring tools to help us define the future of work, scoping what is achievable, and creating a realistic road map for effecting change through the power of collaboration and a shared purpose.
No one company can achieve this alone. I urge you to join me for one day to explore what democratising the future can do for our businesses and our nation.
