I went in to the project with pretty vague instructions, and Sanket was able to create a design I was very happy with. He was very responsive and patient with my endless revisions!
Thanks for putting heart and into this work!

Every design I received I critiqued and it didn’t feel like it was “the one” until this design was summited. I could not find anything about the design that I did not love!!!

“Psychedelia” is a 60min documentary film about psychedelic drugs and their ability to induce mystical, or religious experiences. It explores this relationship by examining the history of their use in controlled, psychotherapy research studies. We are marketing the film to university educators and libraries, and afterwards we’ll likely offer the film online, for free.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
I would like a simple movie poster that catches the eye and conveys the basic theme of the film. I've made a posters in the past (which I'll include in the attachment) but I'm not a graphic designer and they just look flat to me. Because the film is about psychedelics I'd like the imagery to reflect that. A lot of the images used in the film are of nature (I'll attach some as references): time lapses of clouds, the sun shining through clouds, multi-colored sunsets... they all seem to invoke the psychedelic experience. That being said it is a film about FDA, DEA controlled studies and it's being marketed to educators so it shouldn't be over the top. I'm going to include some imagery that I think speaks to the above, but I don't think the actual images should be used since they are just screen grabs. The designer should be free to explore something similar. One practical note is that I would like the festival laurels included, a little descriptive line, and some basic credits at the bottom as you see in standard posters (all of which I'll include in attachments).
I hope this all isn't too vague! Happy to answer any questions to clear things up. I also wonder if it's possible to get a horizontal version for Facebook page.
